Urban City Cheesecake

My mother’s cheesecake is perfection! So light and fluffy this recipe is ultra simple and absolutely amazing! Here’s what you’ll need: •4 8oz Philadelphia Cream Cheese Bricks •1 cup Sugar •1 cup Sour Cream •4 Eggs, beaten •1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract •1 tablespoon Lemon zest •Prepared Graham Cracker Crust In an large bowl, mix sugar and sour cream until fluffy. Fold in cream cheese. Add vanilla, gradually add eggs, and lemon zest. Pour into crust. Bake on 350 degrees for 15 mins, reduce oven to 300 degrees for 45 additional minutes. Cherry Topping: •2 Jars maraschino cherries, drained •1 lemon, juiced •6 tablespoons sugar •1 tablespoon cornstarch •1/2 cup cold water Combine cherries, lemon juice, sugar, cornstarch, and water in a small saucepan. Take your senses to another level! The aroma of the cilantro baking is amazing! Here’s what you’ll need: •Chicken Wings (you can substitute any piece of chicken you’d prefer) •2 limes •1 cup cilantro, finely chopped •1 tablespoon cracked black pepper •1 tablespoon salt •1 tablespoon granulated garlic •Olive Oil Combine salt, pepper, and garlic in a small bowl. In a large bowl, drizzle chicken with olive oil, the juice of both limes, cilantro, and seasonings. Let marinate in refrigerator for 45mins. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour.

You’re going to love these tacos! Crock Pot cooking is one of the simplest methods, just add ingredients and forget about it! Well for the next 9 hours! You can use chicken breast as a substitute in this recipe, just simmer your chicken breast for 4 hours instead of 9. After perfecting this recipe I will never buy another jar of white pastabsauce again! By adding different cheeses and spices you can transform and customize this sauce for any pasta! In the photo above I incorporated mozarella and Roasted Red Pepper Flakes. Here’s What You’ll Need: 1 Quart Heavy Cream 1 cup Flour 1/4 cup Granulated Garlic 1 cup Parmesan 1 Tablespoon Parsley Combine all ingredients except flour in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and gradually add flour. Cook flour down for 3-5 minutes. If you desire a thicker sauce add more flour.

The perfect afternoon/evening/anytime snack! Here’s you’ll need: Mozzarella String Cheese Sticks 1 cup Italian Bread Crumbs 2 Eggs, beaten 1/4 cup Flour Combine bread crumbs and flour in small bowl. Slice mozzarella sticks into desired length.  Coat sticks in egg and roll in bread crumb mixture. Place in freezer for 20 minutes. Fry in medium saucepan using your favorite frying oil (I used vegetable) until golden brown (2-3 minutes)

I like to refer to this recipe as “beginners salmon”. This was the very first way I learned to make salmon and has been one of my favorites ever since. This salmon is simple and delicious! Here’s What You’ll Need: 4 pieces Salmon Filet 3 tablespoon Olive Oil 2 tablespoon Lemon Juice 1 teaspoon Granulated Garlic 1 teaspoon Rosemary, dried or fresh 1 Lemon, sliced,for garnish Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Sprinkle salmon with olive oil, rosemary, garlic and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.  Place a salmon fillet, oiled side down, atop a sheet of foil. I came across this fantastic approach to baked potatoes and of course I had to try it immediately! The best part about these potatoes is that you can dress them all the way up! Salmon Croquettes is one of my all time favorite Southern Comfort foods. Crispy goodness on the outside and fluffy deliciousness on the inside. You can dress them up with remoulade sauce, put them on a sandwich, or serve my favorite way with grits and scrambled eggs. Here’s what you’ll need: 2 fillets canned pink salmon,  drained and flaked 1 egg, beaten 2 tablespoons green peppers, diced 1/2 cup bread crumbs 1 teaspoon dill weed 2 tablespoons onion, diced 1 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/4 cup corn meal 1/4 cup flour vegetable oil, for frying In a bowl combine first 7 ingredients. Last summer I tried a Chicken Shawarma and instantly fell in love. I found myself wanting one everyday! It took some time, but finally I created the perfect recipe for this tasty Mediterranean treat! Here’s what you’ll need: 1/2 Chicken Breast, sautéed and diced 2 Pita Wraps 1/2 cup Romaine Lettuce, shredded Pickles, as many as you like 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt 1/4 cup Minced Garlic 1 teaspoon Dill 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper Combine the last four ingredients in a bowl. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Spread Garlic sauce on each pita wrap evenly. Add chicken and pickles, top with lettuce.

I have read everywhere that pregnant women CRAVE Pickles. I am waiting for the day I absolutely have to have one. Early on in my pregnancy I craved Cheese Fries and Ice Cream.
